I first came to San Francisco on a whim and it took only moments to realize that this was the place that was my creative center. It wasn’t where I always lived in the past and may not be where I’ll always live in the future. But it is always going to be the place that can re-invigorate my soul when inspiration elsewhere is lacking.

As many of my regular readers already know, I spent the last few weeks back in my hometown. It’s always interesting going back home … for all of the reasons that going home as a grown-up means, of course … but also because it gives you such a refreshed perspective on your new home when you return. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what the purpose of this blog is and what I want to do with it.
