On SF Radio: SF Soundz

You should probably know by now that we’re in the midst of a summer which is being celebrated as the 40th anniversary of The Summer of Love. What better way to celebrate such a summer than with some summer lovin’ on your radio? After all, the music of that era is a huge part of the story of that time.

There’s a show on now in the Bay Area that celebrates some of the cutting edge music from that time. The acid music from San Francisco’s psychedelic bands is explored, commercial free, from 7 p.m. – midnight every Saturday and Sunday. Since they’ve got enough time in there without the commercials, they’re happy to play long-format songs and lesser known songs from that unique era.

So, the radio station to tune your dials to is KTRB 860 on the AM dial. You get music, you get local history, and you get it without interruptions.

    Forget KFOG~!

KTRB’s SF Soundz is absolutely the best music show on the radio in the Bay Area. It’s a tour of a incredable creative period of music and life style experimentation….hearing this music 35 yrs later makes one realize how great some of it really is.

I just want to thank KTRB for doing this show and playing Gold’s music. This type of show has never been done before and who knows why? it is something that needs to be out there on the airwaves. Thank You so much for coming up with such a wonderful idea. Please continue the history of the roots of The San Francisco Sound. Thank You, Ed Scott…Gold
