See Scarab this weekend
There’s no telling what could happen at a Scarab show. Sometimes there’s headbanging post-punk inspired sound and other times you’ll find yourself swaying comfortably to jazz-inspired tunes and carrying on a conversation during the show. And there’s only one way to find out which kind of night it’s going to be; go check them out live. You get two different chances to do that this weekend since Scarab is playing both Saturday and Sunday.
Here’s the details on those shows:
Saturday, June 30 – Scarab will be playing at the Brainwash Café at 10 p.m. If you don’t know this place, it’s half café, half Laundromat and supports the local live music scene like only a place like that could. It’s the perfect setting for a Scarab show. Playing before them on this night, starting at 8, will be The Deadly Surfinatics followed by Kinetix.
Sunday, July 1 – Scarab will be playing on the other side of town at Ireland’s 32. This two-story spot has got pool tables and Irish brawls to support the small stage downstairs. They start playing at 8.
Be sure to check out our interview with Scarab if you didn’t catch it last week.
