Dolorata is a “blues influenced, hard rock inspired” band made up of all female performers who take the term “rock out” and amplify it with their energy an enthusiasm for their art. A recent accomplishment for this
San Francisco band was opening for Iggy and the Stooges who played at The Warfield in early May.
A more general accomplishment is that these five females draw comparisons to other well-known bands based not at all on the fact that they are female (in other words, this is a chick band that doesn’t get lumped in with other chick bands) but rather is a band judged (and loved) solely for the talent behind the instruments.
