Cinco de Mayo in San Francisco
Cinco de Mayo (that’s May 5th for those few of you that are shaking in your heads in confusion) is a fun holiday celebrated in Latin American style with food and festivities. San Francisco is home to a large Hispanic population which celebrates its roots here this weekend with Cinco de Mayo events. Here are some of your choices for getting in on the Cinco de Mayo action:
Festivals:
- Cinco de Mayo Festival @ Dolores Park – Mariachi music, Aztec dance, all ages picnicking and enjoyment of the area from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Cinco de Mayo Festival in Oakland – If you want to head across the bay, this is the place that you want to be. 200 vendors, multiple stages of entertainment and all ages activities make the day.
- Cinco de Mayo Soccer Fest – What’s more Latin that soccer? Soccer that pre-games with mariachi, of course!
