San Francisco Sunday Horoscopes
San Fran Voice is here to give you the psychic help that you need to get through the week. We’ll give you the scoop on Sunday so that you know if it’s time to get on your San Francisco dancing shoes or time to curl up in your bed and read the Craiglist rants and raves for amusement. Since it’s Earth Day, you even get some environmental information with your weekly horoscope dose.
Pisces (February 20 – March 20): You want enough solitude to be able to daydream without distractions but need enough socializing to keep yourself infused with new information for your creative brain to play with. Divide your time between the two desires and you’ll have a week filled with realized dreams.
Pisces environmental information for Earth Day: San Francisco is home to the San Francisco Oil Awareness group which provides education about oil and the environment to interested citizens. Why does this interest you? Because your empathetic and artistic nature can converge in support of a good cause at events like last year’s awareness-raising art show.
Aries (March 21 – April 20): If you had been around during the pioneer days, you would have made it all the way West and found yourself some gold. Then you would’ve used the gold to start a new business on the coast because you like to lead the way in new pursuits. Have you been doing enough of that lately? Chances are it’s time to re-focus and get yourself going with something new so you don’t stagnate somewhere out on the proverbial prairie.
Aries environmental information for Earth Day: Just like you’re a pioneer, so is your city. San Francisco is one of only three cities which participates in Green Festivals, “parties with a purpose” that raise awareness of different ways to be environmentally friendly.
Taurus (April 21 – May 21): We’re heading into the month of your birth and you self-indulgent tendencies are becoming more pronounced in honor of the occasion. Yes, you do get to tell people to pay some more attention to you but be careful about just how greedy you’re getting; others have things to deal with that don’t involve you.
Taurus environmental information for Earth Day: Earth Day is celebrated at the beginning of your sign’s period of the zodiac which makes sense for you since you’re a lover of nature and a fan of the outdoors. Good thing San Francisco has parks and nature galore in the nearby vicinity to keep you naturally active.
Gemini (May 22 – June 21): You tend to adapt well to changing circumstances but this can often mean that you end up looking fickle. Here’s some food for thought: who cares how you look to those around you? Do what feels right in your heart and the rest will work itself out as you adapt to the things taking place around you.
Gemini environmental information for Earth Day: Just like there are two sides to every Gemini, there are two different Earth Days to know about. Today is one of them (celebrated locally at Golden Gate Park and McLaren Park) and the other is the vernal equinox. Learn more from wikipedia.
Cancer (June 22-July 22): Your biggest flaw is that you tend to get a little bit clingy with people. You have to learn to let things go at the right time even though it doesn’t come naturally to you. Squeezing on to anything too tightly just ekes the life right out of the relationship.
Cancer environmental information for Earth Day: San Francisco residents seem supportive of the plan to ban plastic bags from grocery and convenience stores. Sometimes, letting go makes room for something new.
Leo (July 23 – August 23): You’re usually a fairly enthusiastic person but something has got you living in the doldrums these days. Maybe it’s work or maybe it’s the lack of motion which has taken over your life. Figure out whether you need to get out of San Francisco a bit or just need to spice things up here this week in order to shake yourself out of the rut.
Leo environmental information for Earth Day: Green Apple Music Festival (which uses music to assist in Earth Day environmental education) takes place in a few cities throughout the nation. San Francisco is one of those cities so you can change your routine while having fun at a worthy event if you want to get out of the house today.
Virgo (August 22 – September 22): Sometimes I think that you act a lot more shy than you really are. Sure, there are some perks to playing the modest card but if you’re feeling like getting out there and strutting your stuff, this is a good week to go ahead and indulge in that urge.
Virgo environmental information for Earth Day: San Francisco’s City Hall was once home to a Scraphouse, an entire home created out of recycled materials. It was absolutely ostentatious and absolutely perfect; just like you’ll be when you come out of your shell.
Libra (September 24 – October 23): There is a fine line between being a hopeful romantic and being a hopeless one and your romantic nature tends to make you toe that line a lot of the time. Love is a wonderful feeling and you deserve every part of it but make sure that you’re not pining after people who aren’t worth your time.
Libra environmental information for Earth Day: Earth Day is a big day at The San Francisco Zoo filled with activities for the whole family. Why do you care? Because the hopeless kind of love is like being a caged animal and you’re not doing it for a good cause.
Scorpio (October 24 – November 22): Sometimes, you get a little bit more jealous than you like to admit yourself to be. And that jealousy is usually caused by the fact that you’re secretive. You think that since you’re keeping secrets, everyone else must be too. But the fact is that some people can just be taken at face value and you don’t have to be as guarded with your heart as you’ve been.
Scorpio environmental information for Earth Day: San Francisco is known throughout environmental communities as having a terrific urban forest. Sounds like a crazy and complicated thing but it’s actually pretty straightforward; San Francisco has awesome nature all throughout the city, making up a forest within the urban landscape.
Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21): You have an interesting mixture of traits in your sign, including that you are optimistic, restless, direct and sometimes irresponsible. What this combination can create is a situation in which you act upon your impulses and say what you’re thinking with the optimistic thought that this should make things easy. Unfortunately, acting on impulse tends to result in erratic and careless behavior; if you’ve been having mood swings lately, this could be why.
Sagittarius environmental information for Earth Day: San Francisco has at least as interesting of a trait combination as you do. Did you know that the city celebrates Earth Day today just like everywhere else in terms in some ways but that the actual declared Earth Day for the city already took place on March 20th? Silly city.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 20): Stingy. Someone’s called you that word lately, either to your face or behind your back. And it stings. But it stings because it’s true. You’ve been holding back lately, whether it’s with the cash or with kind words, and it’s time to release those purse strings and cough up some caring attitude. Don’t look at me like that; I just call ‘em like I see ‘em.
Capricorn environmental information for Earth Day: One way you could snap out of the stinginess would be to give a donation to one of the many environmental organizations in San Francisco. Take a look at this non-comprehensive list for starters – and keep in mind that it’s probably tax deductible so you aren’t actually giving for nothing anyway.
Aquarius (January 21 – February 19): What you were really meant to be in life was an inventor. Maybe you didn’t quite make that your profession but you can find new and innovative approaches to your work this week which will maximize both your pleasure and your profit on the job.
Aquarius environmental information for Earth Day: The city likes to be as cutting edge as you are and one of the ways it does so is with the San Francisco Green Business Program. This volunteer group helps business take proactive steps to improving their impact on the environment.
