Monday Music Lineup For San Francisco This Week
San Francisco has a music scene which includes everything from folksy singer-songwriter musicians to hardcore metal bands. There’s something going on every night of the week in the SF music world. Here are some of the shows to see this week:
Monday, 3/12/07
- The Sixteens with super worldly experimental music at The Knockout
- El Perro del Mar comes from Sweden to Great American Music Hall with L.A.’s Rosie Thomas and local Thao Nguyen
Tuesday, 3/13/07
- The $nobs, The Helper Monkeys, The Reaction and Dead Ringers at Bottom of the Hill
- Fujiya and Miyagi from the UK with electronica at Mezzanine
- Third Eye Blind at The Fillmore
Wednesday, 3/14/07
- Acoustic rock from France’s Seb Martel along with the Bay Area’s Ricky Lee Robinson and Helene Renaut at Rickshaw Stop
- Super eclectic night at Cafe du Nord with The Parish, Wymond and His Spirit Children, Silver Needles, and All My Pretty Ones
- Taking Back Sunday at The Concourse
Thursday, 3/15/07
- SambaDa at The Independent with unique Latin Reggae sounds
- Das Manhandel at Grant and Green‘
- Local hip hop artists at The Red Devil Lounge
Friday, 3/16/07
- Oakland’s The Matches at Slim’s
- The Latin Metal of Savage Machine along with Wit’s End, Douche of Hazard, and Porno Pandas at Bottom of the Hill
- The Ditty Pops (acoustic folk rock) at Swedish American Music Hall
- Patty Griffin with Terremoto at The Warfield
- Susan Werner at Brava Theater – This impressive singer-songwriter has six albums behind her and is currently here on tour for the most recent of them. I’ll be reviewing this show this weekend, so come back to check it out!
Saturday, 3/17/07
- Louisiana jam band The Radiators at Great American Music Hall with local folk rockers The Brothers Lekas
- San Francisco’s own Neil Diamond cover band, Super Diamond,with oh-so-retro The Cheeseballs at Bimbo’s 365
Sunday, 3/18/07
- The Abyssinians, an old school vocal reggae trio at The Independent
- Send For Help at Hotel Utah
