zpdiac signsIt’s love week and we know just what San Francisco has in store for you!  As a special treat, be sure to check out the SF Indie Fest film recommendations which are best for your sign.

Pisces (February 20 – March 20):  You’re artsy side is in desperate need of inspiration, but don’t get too stuck inside of yourself this week.  Find a balance.  Spend some time alone with yourself, but be sure to let the people that you’ve been daydreaming about lately know that they’re thought of on Valentine’s day. You just might find that the combination of your inspiration and those out-loud daydreams turn into realities-come-true!

Pisces SF Indie Fest film to see:  Darkbeat – An Electro-World Voyage; the visual creativity will inspire you to do something interesting.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):  So you got out and you met some new people last week but did you really go wild or did you spend more time making online connections than trying to get to know the people you’ve already met?  C’mon Aries, you know the answer.  You’ve got to get out there and put yourself right into the middle of San Francisco life or you’re never going to be happy.

Aries SF Indie Fest film to see:  LOL to remind you of the dangers of internet relationships.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):  Check out the weather for Valentine’s week and then make a date with yourself to go play in the rain.  Something unconventional could work for you in the romance department, but if it doesn’t go your way, you should ride it out.  You, of all people, know that there’s more going on in the world than just the drama of Valentine’s silliness.

Taurus SF Indie Fest film to see:  Your Mommy Kills Animals which has socio-political undertones to keep your mind off the silliness.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):  If you’ve found that passionate love, now is the time to confess all of your feelings and risk being ridiculed.  Be careful, though, because as soon as you’ve poured your heart out, you might find that it’s empty.  If grand gestures get the best of you, surround yourself with friends you know you’ll love forever no matter who flits in and out of life in between.

Gemini SF Indie Fest film to see:  Neighborhood Watch – Don’t mean to scare you but it’s a reminder that you should look closely at those people who seem so nice before you fall for them.

Cancer (June 22-July 22):  Your best bet for Valentine’s day is to do something completely out of the ordinary.  If you’re buying flowers, skip the roses and go for the Oriental lilies.  If you’re getting sweets, skip the chocolates and get the edible underwear.  Or skip celebrating on Wednesday all together and do something later in the week.

Cancer SF Indie Fest film to see:  Unholy Women – it’s foreign, it’s frightening and it’s completely different.

Leo (July 23 – August 23):  You’ve been in laidback mode lately and it’ll carry you through the rest of the week easily.  While everyone around you is going crazy because they don’t have “the one” for Valentine’s Day, you’ll find it easy to just hang out at the corner bar or hit the gym without thinking about the fact that you don’t have a significant other hanging on your arm.

Leo SF Indie Fest film to see:  The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell – because you’re the only one this week who could appreciate a futuristic movie that includes robots, devil spawn and references to Fidel Castro.

Virgo (August 22 – September 22):  Don’t go holding a grudge if someone you thought would do something special for V-day isn’t holding up their end of the bargain.  Look deeper and you might see that they’re doing things in their own way after all.

Virgo SF Indie Fest film to see:  S&Man, which strips scary down to its bare truth.

Libra (September 24 – October 23):  There isn’t anyone in the world that is going to be able to live up to your high standards of how you should be treated on Valentine’s Day.  But you know what, you’re right – you deserve to be treated like royalty.  So take yourself out somewhere fun and spoil yourself rotten.  After all, if you want things done right, you’ve got to do them yourself!

Libra SF Indie Fest film to see:  Viva, because movies are the only place where it’s okay for there to be stars bigger than you!

Scorpio (October 24 – November 22):  You’re all about passion and this week’s infamous holiday is all about romance.  What are you going to do about that conundrum?  Probably something sweet, because when it comes down to it, you’re usually pretty good at taking care of the romance side of things even when the rest is faltering.  Just be sure to infuse some naughty fun in there to keep yourself from being bored.

Scorpio SF Indie Fest film to see: Fido, because if you end up not being able to keep yourself from boredom, the twists in this film can do it for you.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21):  All right, Sag – if you’ve heeded our good advice here , you’ve gotten yourself out of the house and probably met someone new.  And in true Sag fashion, you’re thinking that you’re already bored with the new and are ready for something else.  Don’t let that passion go so quickly.  It’s Love Week after all!  Milk it for all it’s worth before you let out the Latin and send it packin’!

Sag SF Indie Fest film to see:  Special (Creepy) Talents or All The Lonely People – a series of freaky shorts because your ADD isn’t going to let you watch anything longer than this for awhile.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 20):  You’re never going to admit that what you want is to be completely swept off your feet, but it’s in there inside of you somewhere.  Valentine’s Day is the perfect way to get a little sentimental without it seeming too ordinary or making someone feel like you’re coming on too strong.

Capricorn SF Indie Fest film to see:  Forgiving the Franklins, where a world turned upside down just might turn out okay in the end.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 19):  As soon as you know exactly what you want, you’ll be able to achieve it.  Meanwhile, unfortunately, you’re going to have to spend some time figuring out what that is.  Strike a balance between work and play while you muddle through the mess and you’ll come out on the other side finding everything worked itself out after all.

Aquarius SF Indie Fest film to see:  Ten Canoes – A radically foreign language and a mostly funny story combine together better than you might think.
